  • National Disability Insurance Scheme – NDIS ensures that people with disability continue to get the support they need. Learn more about NDIS if you wish to become a participant.
  • The Australian Human Rights Commission – The Australian Human Rights Commission was established in 1986 by an act of the federal Parliament. They are an independent statutory organisation and report to the federal Parliament through the Attorney-General.
  • Centrelink – At Centrelink you will find a range of services for families, carers, and people with disabilities.
  • The National Disability Advocacy Program – The National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) provides people with disability access to effective disability advocacy that promotes, protects and ensures their full and equal enjoyment of all human rights enabling community participation.
  • Carers NSW – Carers NSW provide a wide range of information that may be relevant to people who are caring for others such as caring for someone with dementia, mental illness, with a disability, drug problems, or someone with cancer.
  • NCAT’s Guardianship Division – NCAT’s Guardianship Division is a specialist disability division within NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal. The Division conducts hearings to determine applications about adults with a decision making disability who are incapable of making their own decisions and who may require a legally appointed substitute decision maker.
  • NSW Disability Advocacy Service – The NSW Disability Advocacy service is funded to provide advocacy by Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) and NSW Ageing Disability and Home Care (ADHC).
  • The Intellectual Disability Rights Service – The Intellectual Disability Rights Service (IDRS) is a specialist legal advocacy service for people with intellectual disability in New South Wales. They work with and for people with intellectual disability to exercise and advance their rights.
  • Legal Aid NSW – Legal Aid NSW is a state-wide organisation providing legal services to socially and economically disadvantaged people across NSW. They deliver legal services in most areas of criminal, family and civil law.
  • Multicultural NSW – Multicultural NSW promotes community harmony and social cohesion in one of the most culturally diverse states in the world.
